Spring is in the air...

We've had absolutely beautiful weather over the last few weeks... not too warm, but sunny and misleading enough for those of us who don't know better to think that Spring is just around the corner. It seems that way, with the time changing tonight (ugh) and the first day of Spring looming on the calendar. To celebrate... we play outside --- in the snow! :)

Here's a couple of February shots...
Connor, my winter baby, absolutely hates donning boots and a coat. He was hysterical by the time I had him dressed enough to take the boys out for a quick walk in the snow. I figured I had to get at least one good outside photo of Connor this winter. Couldn't convince him to smile, but at least the tears had stopped (probably frozen to his face)...

And... last weekend Mom managed to snap a few good ones of Alex. I remember the sled runs Dad used to build for us in the backyard. It's been years since he's had that chore... but over the last several weeks, for a bit of nostalgia, he's been perfecting one in his yard. Alex had a chance to enjoy it last Sunday. We drove to Mom and Dad's house for a visit on bare highways, sun streaming in the windows of the van thinking it was a great day for a drive --- we drove home in a blizzard and white-out conditions. Took twice as long, and we were tempted a couple of times to turn back.

That's March for you!
Alex really enjoyed this activity... so thanks Dad, for building a sled run (complete with steps!)... I'm sorry that it's rapidly melting - but at the same time, not all that sad to see the snow going! :)
