#5 - Mother Nature

Mother Nature is a cruel mistress,
Who taunts then takes away,
At nightfall, dusts the world in white,
The spring promise of today.
Winter throws us one last backwards glance,
As we watch him finally go,
And leaves us in his awful wake,
A Spring of ice and snow.

You have a great way of weaving humour into your poems. I love them and especially about Lily. Although Caffiene is my best friend is very close there too.

Well thank you! So far I've been able to take inspiration from something every day. I figure, why write a poem if I don't have a little fun with them. The Lily one was inspired by her yowling at the door while the kids were outside.
